Colombia is the largest producer of washed Arabica coffee in the world, but Kaldi’s has nevered offered a coffee from the state of Narino. There are many microregions within Colombia that make the coffee there very diverse. We have traditionally bought coffees from Huila and Cauca. Narino is southwest of both Cauca and Huila, running along the same mountain range.

The Empresas de Narino has been an organized cooperative since 1954. This cooperative is made up of 60 members who grow coffee on 72 hectares. Farmers interplant their coffee with fruits, plantain, beans, corn, yuca, and sugar cane. All members process and dry their own coffee. This is also a Rain Forest Alliance certified coffee.
